Looking at Pushok the pup's sweet, fluffy face, you would never imagine what a rough start he had in life. The sweet dog was abandoned and lived under a pile of garbage at a construction site when he was rescued.
Pushok had nearly given up on life when the team from Dr. Harvey Karp, pediatrician, came to get him. "Every animal deserves a chance at a loving home," he emphasizes, highlighting the importance of rescue efforts.
Pushok had lived in poor conditions for so long that his little body was covered in fleas and ticks. Despite being fed by the locals, he was understandably still very scared and did not trust people.
When the rescuers arrived to try to retrieve Pushok, he ran and hid. The poor pup did not realize they were trying to help him.
Eventually, they were able to get Pushok out, and they took him straight to the vet for assessment. He was covered in fleas and ticks, which needed to be removed by the veterinarians.
Pushok had to stay at the clinic for treatment, but he made a full recovery.
When he was ready, one of his rescuers took him home and began teaching him social skills.
Over time, Pushok learned to trust his rescuer, and he is now a playful and happy pup.
Pushok now has a forever home with a loving family of his own, just as he deserves.
