Cute Dog, Luke Finally Finds A Forever Home After Being Abandoned On His Adoption Party
Luke spent more than 200 days waiting for a home, and even his Valentine’s Day adoption party did not go the way anyone hoped. The sweet dog had already won over the staff at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London, but finding the right family took longer than expected.
Because Luke needed extra vet care for skin problems, the shelter wanted a calm, responsible home for him. That search eventually led to Karl and Jill Kendrick from Derbyshire, who stepped in after following his story and showing interest in giving him a fresh start.
Now Luke finally has the forever home he was waiting for, and his story ends with the kind of happy turn every shelter dog deserves. Read on.
Luke is a sweet little puppy who was abandoned on the day of his adoption party

Luke is a five-year-old affectionate dog who spent a lot of time in the shelter, but now he has finally discovered his favorite place with wonderful people.
They planned a party to cheer him up after just over 200 days in the shelter

The shelter provided an update and stated:
"Remember Luke, our Battersea resident who got stood up on Valentine’s Day?" Well, we have good news. He finally found his home. After 225 days, Luke has found the perfect family where his needs will be taken care of. We hope you have a great time, Luke."
This adorable ball of fur had been looking for the right family for a while

Karl and Jill Kendrick from Derbyshire expressed a great deal of interest in the dog before becoming Luke’s adoptive parents and volunteering to foster him while sending him little gifts at the shelter. After a selection process, they were chosen to be the new parents of this adorable pup.
He currently enjoys a happy existence in close proximity to children, who are in charge of showing him how special he is.
This also hits close to home, like the abandoned dog found at the train station with a suitcase of personal belongings.

Karl was shocked at how long Luke stayed in Battersea’s care, as any new owner would have been lucky to have this furball. "Since we brought him home, he has proven to be the perfect dog and has adapted so quickly. We love him so much already, and we wouldn’t trade him for the world."

Luke, who was a timid puppy at first, now has the perfect home. As his confidence grows, he emerges from his cocoon and embraces the fun.
Michelle Bevan, the shelter’s manager, said, "Despite being a big dog, Luke is really a big softy and enjoys nothing more than snuggling up to his favorite people and a stuffed animal."

Even though Luke’s Valentine’s Day celebration didn’t end perfectly, it was worth the wait. After all, the admiration he deserves is now given to this doggo as he has moved past his negative experiences and is living a vibrant and loving life.
All puppies ought to be welcomed, loved, and respected. The pain they experienced in the past can only be undone by us.
