Cute Dog, Luke Finally Finds A Forever Home After Being Abandoned On His Adoption Party
Luke is a cute little puppy who suffered some heartache when he was left behind on the day of his adoption party. The puppy was brought to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London.
Luke did not suffer the same fate as the other adorable creatures who frequent these facilities and who, according to reports, do not have to wait even a month to be adopted. Therefore, the volunteers at the shelter decided to throw him a party on February 14, which is Valentine’s Day.
Since everyone deserves to go on a special date, the main objective was to offer this adorable pup the opportunity to interact with potential adopters and have fun. After a little more than 200 days in the shelter, they prepared a party to cheer him up, but sadly, nothing went as planned.
He has some skin problems and needs many appointments with the vet. Therefore, the shelter wanted to place him with a calm and responsible family that could provide a loving home.
A shelter spokesperson said, "Valentine’s Day is a time to show your appreciation for those you care about, so it’s heartbreaking to learn that Luke spent the day with no one to love." This cute little furball had been searching for the right family for quite some time, and after much looking, he found it, as Luke only wanted one more chance to love and be loved.

Karl and Jill Kendrick from Derbyshire expressed a great deal of interest in the dog before becoming Luke’s adoptive parents and volunteering to foster him while sending him little gifts at the shelter. After a selection process, they were chosen to be the new parents of this adorable pup.
He currently enjoys a happy existence in close proximity to children, who are in charge of showing him how special he is.

Karl was shocked at how long Luke stayed in Battersea’s care, as any new owner would have been lucky to have this furball. "Since we brought him home, he has proven to be the perfect dog and has adapted so quickly. We love him so much already, and we wouldn’t trade him for the world," says Karl.

Luke, who was a timid puppy at first, now has the perfect home. As his confidence grows, he emerges from his cocoon and embraces the fun.
Michelle Bevan, the shelter’s manager, said, "Despite being a big dog, Luke is really a big softy and enjoys nothing more than snuggling up to his favorite people and a stuffed animal."
