Adorable Dog, Taco, Has The Cutest Reaction To His Baby Sister’s First Walking Steps
Taco, a 3-year-old golden retriever, has been Vanora's babysitter since the day she came home from the maternity ward. In a way, Taco would simply lie down next to Vanora on the floor or in bed, and he became Vanora's babysitter, always attentive to her needs.
Taco was right there with Vanora's parents when they woke up in the middle of the night to feed her. What a show of unconditional love from this adorable dog, Taco!
Taco was also very happy about Vanora's new achievements, such as when she began moving around their household by holding onto her crib railings. Nothing, however, thrilled Taco more than the realization that his one-year-old sister could now walk, and very soon, they would become playmates.
Vanora's walking didn't happen overnight, and Taco was just as happy to applaud each of her attempts as she learned. Taco became extremely excited when Vanora began walking with a baby walker, jumping from side to side whenever he saw her pushing it.
Taco's excitement reached its peak when he realized Vanora could walk and run, but he knew to keep a safe distance from the toddler when his excitement peaked. According to Claudia Hughes, Vanora and Taco's mother, Taco would lick her, then go have some zoomies, and then come back and lick her again.
“When we would lay her down on the floor or on our bed, Taco would just lay down next to her”

Taco isn't the only one in the Hughes household learning how to be gentle with their sibling. According to Hughes, it is equally important for Vanora to learn how to treat Taco with respect and compassion.

They have demonstrated to Vanora that they hug Taco, gently pet him, and kiss him on the head. However, if they are angry with him, they do not hit or yell at him [Taco].
Taco and his sister have discovered new ways to interact with each other now that Vanora can walk, such as running around their kitchen together playing hide-and-seek.
Taco was also excited by every new milestone of Vanora’s

Whatever the drill or gameplay may be, Taco will undoubtedly be a proud and happy participant. “We felt like he could be the dog for our family and that he was going to be good to our future children,” Hughes said while talking about the day she met the cute dog, Taco.
“He is more than that. He’s always there.”
Now that Vanora is walking, Taco and his sister have discovered new ways of interacting with each other

Time and again, our furry friends prove to us the lengths they will go to demonstrate their unconditional love for us. As Dr. Lawrence Cohen, a child psychologist and author of Playful Parenting, states, "Children learn about love and relationships through their interactions with pets, which can provide them with a sense of security and companionship." Vanora is fortunate to have an adorable sibling in Taco, with whom she can grow up and learn about how to love unconditionally. We know how much this touching story has touched your heart.
