Little Dog Spends Most Of His Time Collecting Sticks For His Best Friend Who Happens To Be A Tortoise
We are mostly under the impression that all animals only spend time with others of their own kind. While this is true for the most part, sometimes animals form friendships with completely different species, and they somehow make it work.
For instance, dogs and turtles are often perceived as two completely different animals that have few things in common. In reality, things are quite different; Tilly G and Skippy are a perfect example of that.
Ever since Tilly G and Skippy were adopted into the same large rescue pet family, they have been best friends from the very beginning. They constantly hang out with each other, enjoying napping, snacking, and sunbathing together.
They follow each other around wherever they go, and they love showing affection for one another, especially Skippy. He expresses his affection for his brother in many different ways, such as kisses and head pats, but his favorite way is by bringing Tilly G his most valued possessions: sticks.
Skippy has a special way of presenting his best friend with his gift sticks; he dances around him with the stick and then presents it at the end. The tortoise is usually less than impressed with the show that Skippy puts on for him.
“Tilly G and Skippy bonded the moment they met”
“They were instantly drawn to each other for some reason. The moment they met was like love at first sight. And now they are inseparable… It's hard to describe; you just have to see it and see them together,” the pair's mom told The Dodo.

Skippy offers a variety of different kinds of sticks to his best friend.
Each time, he brings a different kind of stick. Even the way he presents them changes according to the stick.

“Pretty much anytime Skippy finds a stick in the yard, he prances over to show it to Tilly G,” their mom said.

The way he presents them is so adorable 😂
“Tilly G wants nothing to do with Skippy's sticks,” their mom said. “Tilly G will only get interested if it is a collard green stick or a piece of romaine lettuce.”
If it's not food, he is not interested, which is completely understandable.

Tilly G doesn’t seem to have the same appreciation for sticks as his brother does, but that will never deter Skippy from collecting them and offering them to him. He has a lot of love for his brother and is very passionate about sticks, so for him, this is the ultimate way to show love.
Tilly G doesn't seem to appreciate the sticks because he simply can't eat them; he is only interested in food presents. He has a lot of love for his brother, and despite not liking his presents, he enjoys hanging out with him, and they constantly keep each other company.
