Unlikely Friendship Forms Between A Rescue Dog And A Newborn Foal That Lost His Mom
On a farm rescue story, the weirdest friendship turned into the sweetest lifeline. A newborn foal named Tye lost his mom, and the moment things went sideways, a rescue dog named Zip stepped in like he’d been waiting for the job.
Swindle, who raises foals every year, usually keeps an eye on a mother horse through the barn door. But this time was different, because Tye’s mom didn’t make it. Swindle spent the night trying to pull the mama through, while Zip stayed right in the barn alley, curled beside the foal, refusing to leave.
And when the first real sign of connection happened, it was Zip, not people, who seemed to say, “You’re not alone.”
Swindle says that she raises foals each year.
Usually, when a female horse gives birth, Swindle just needs to check on her through the door. But it was different for Tye's mom.
I spent the night taking care of the mama horse, hoping that I could pull her through, and Zip stayed with me in the alley of the barn all night — the foal was lying in the alley, and he just lay beside the foal.
The farm owner said. Even though the baby horse lost his mom, the rescue dog on the farm became his newfound buddy.

According to Swindle, the dog treated the foal as if it were his baby.
It's like Zip is telling Tye, "I'm with you. You're not alone." Swindle was surprised to see that, for the first time, Zip licked the foal, laid beside it, and nudged it.

For almost two months, Zip never left Tye's side, offering security and warmth.
The adorable foal seemed overjoyed to have such a devoted friend. With Zip's loving care, Tye was able to heal and find solace after losing his mother.
As time passed and Tye matured into a magnificent horse, he always cherished the bond with his loyal companion, sharing precious moments together.

According to Karla, when she goes to the barn and Zip sees him, he immediately goes to the stall where Tye is.
Once she opens the door, Zip gets close to Tye and lays his head on his horse friend.

Take a look at the heartwarming video of the two creatures that formed a bond despite being two different animals.
While Swindle fought to help Tye’s mama through the night, Zip stayed planted beside the newborn foal in the alley, like he was guarding the only thing that mattered.
It’s a lot like a lamb rejected by its mom, then comforted by a dog in the barn’s quiet moments.
The next morning, Zip finally licked Tye, then laid beside him and nudged him, and suddenly that lost foal had a new routine and a new heartbeat.
For almost two months, Zip never left Tye’s side, bringing warmth and security every time the world felt too big for a baby horse.
Even now, when Karla opens the stall door and Zip sees Tye, he trots over, leans in, and settles his head on his buddy like nothing ever changed.
The horse may have lost his mom when he was just a newborn, but thanks to his canine friend, he finally has a family he can turn to. Whenever Tye needs warmth and protection, he can count on Zip to always be there.
