Young Girl Stops On Rainy Sidewalk To Help A Wet, Stray Puppy On Her Way Home From School
Being a kind and thoughtful human being without an audience present is the ultimate proof that someone is truly kindhearted. They do not need others to witness their actions because that is not what motivates them to do good.
Last week, a Brazilian woman managed to spot a stranger's kindness that would have otherwise gone unseen. Mayane Rodrigues observed something beautiful happening outside her apartment window, and she couldn't help but document it.
Rodrigues noticed from a distance a young girl stopping on the street below on the rainy sidewalk while returning home from school. She put her umbrella aside, removed her backpack, and then took off her jacket.
Upon further investigation, Rodrigues realized that a soaking-wet stray puppy was standing at the girl's feet, and she understood the purpose of the girl's actions. Rodrigues continued to watch as the girl held the dog in her arms and continued walking. She dubbed her an angel for her beautiful deed.
The girl who rescued the puppy is Cibely Stiegelmair. At only 12 years old, she managed to save a life on that cold, rainy day. She deserves to be called an angel because this is what angels do.

“It all happened so quickly. It was very emotional,” Rodrigues told The Dodo. “I sent the video to a friend who shared it with a neighborhood group, and then I found out who the angel was.”
“I was startled when she arrived with the puppy because she was very sweaty and wet from the rain,” Rejane Stiegelmair, Cibely's mom, told The Dodo.
“There was blood on her shirt. I thought she had been hurt, but she told me she found the puppy injured.”
Fortunately, the puppy's condition was not too bad. He only needs a little love and care to heal faster.
"Cibely has a very good heart. She feels very sorry for stray dogs," Rejane said. "If she could bring them all home, she would."
The dog was named Pretinha by Cibely and has been welcomed with open arms into the family.
"As parents, we are proud of Cibely and always have been," her mom said. "But now we're even prouder!"

No one knows for sure what caused Pretinha to become stranded on the sidewalk that day, but one thing is certain: it led her to her forever home with the most loving people she could ever ask for.
