Rescued Kitten Is Living A Fulfilling Life, Even Though She Only Has Two Legs
A tiny rescue turned into a big comeback story for one kitten named Duck. After a rough start and a double amputation, she did not slow down for long.
Duck was found after climbing into a car engine, then taken to an animal clinic where Cody met her and decided to bring her home. Now she lives with her dad, a pack of dogs, and another cat, and she has built a life that looks anything but limited.
Her story is proof that a missing pair of legs did not take away her spark.
Duck when she was just a baby. She had to undergo an amputation procedure at a young age.

Cody and Duck

Nothing can slow down this cat full of energy.
Since Duck lost her legs at a very young age, getting used to moving with her hind legs became easy. As you watch her videos, you'll see that she's just like any typical cat.
She plays, explores, and excitedly frolics around. It's such a beautiful sight to see that even with only two legs, she knows how to make life fun.

She bolts around the home and stands upright. You'd even see her moving like an athlete in the air as she chases her paper ball.
Duck lives with her dad, five dogs, and a one-eyed cat named Goose. She easily fits into the pack.
Look at Duck's Instagram, and you'll see her loving Goose and vice versa. The two met at a very young age and are now snuggle buddies.
It also mirrors how two-legged dogs helped humans adapt after amputations.
Duck has infinite energy and is really playful.

Out of all the dogs, Duck's favorite is Bimini the Frenchie.
After Duck's arrival, she became fast friends with Bimini, who sometimes felt left out. The two are inseparable.
They wrestle and groom each other. Duck can't reach her face, so it's Bimini who licks that part, and then she returns the favor.

These big yet gentle dogs set an example of how animals in a home can get along really well.
One of the dogs is a Golden Retriever named Reed. He's the leader of the pack and loves every member.

Duck also meets more friends who receive foster care in their home.
The fostered animals include puppies, a piglet, kittens, a bunny, raccoons, an opossum, and real ducks too! They may be different species, but they get along really well.
It's a loving home indeed! When not playing with the puppies, Duck relaxes with her two-legged buddies outdoors.
They are a small flock of chickens, and it's as if she can relate well to them.
Goose, just like Duck, is fond of her chicken friends too! It's a peaceful foster home where everyone can make friends.

She's a source of inspiration too! Her amputation never stopped her from enjoying life to the fullest.
We hope that we can all be like Duck. She faces life head-on, regardless of what she has been through.
Duck's story is hard not to root for.
