Despite Losing A Leg, This Cat Seizes Each Day With Unstoppable Enthusiasm And Joy
Sometime around the moment you think you’ve seen every kind of “tiny but tough” story, Sprinkle shows up and proves you wrong. This little kitten, missing a leg and dealing with a lot more than attitude, still charges through life like every day is a personal victory lap.
Sprinkle came to a city shelter at just 4 weeks old, along with her momma, Twinkle. Twinkle was the charming bad girl with a whole brood, but the other babies didn’t make it, and Sprinkle was the one who needed urgent help. From the start, her hind leg was in bad shape, and she ultimately required a triple amputation, plus skin protection because her tail had necrotic tissue.
And somehow, even with all that, she turned into the sassiest, most energetic roommate anyone could ask for.
Sprinkle may look cute, but she can be one mischievous kitty. She even yells at her momma when she doesn't get what she wants.
Sprinkle is 100% the most dramatic and wild kitten I have ever cared for. Ever. EVER.
Gutshall said.

Sprinkle (who was 4 weeks old at the time) and her momma, Twinkle, are from a city shelter. Gutshall took the two under her wing.
Twinkle had other babies, but sadly, they didn't make it. Sprinkle, on the other hand, had issues with her hind leg from the very beginning.
The adorable kitten needed a triple amputation because her tail also had necrotic tissue. However, since Gutshall had prior experience with cats like Sprinkle, she knew that the little one could still live a happy life.

People can't resist the cuteness of Twinkle. She's everyone's charming bad girl.

They even raised funds online to help Sprinkle with her veterinary care.
Can you tell Sprinkle is sasssssssy? She is. Very sassy. Very opinionated. Lots of yells. Does not like friends.

Sprinkle isn't a fan of cuddles. However, Gutshall recognizes that she still needs assistance.

She was provided with suits that help keep her mobile, and these also serve as skin protection. Though Sprinkle may be all bitey and have a sensitive tummy, with experienced rescuers caring for her, these traits aren't a problem at all.
Believe it or not, a triple amputation was never a hindrance for Sprinkle.
She quickly adapted to her new life, even when she ended up with torn stitches. Just look at how lively she is!
Sprinkle’s fight for joy feels similar to the cat whose survival story included sliced ears and a foster family rebuilding her trust.
In this video, the mischievous kitten joyfully bounds off a bed with excitement, creating a playful "thud" sound.
She wears different suits, which absolutely look cute on her.

All her clothes suit her well, so it can be hard to choose which one she'll wear for the day.

Even a leopard print looks good on her.

Sprinkle's life may be filled with numerous challenges, yet she faces them all with courage — just like how she recovered from her triple amputation.
She overcame her UTI and ringworm problems. Now that's a fighter!

That’s when Gutshall stepped in, taking Sprinkle and Twinkle under her wing and refusing to let this kitten’s future be defined by what she lost.
Then the fundraising kicked off, because Sprinkle’s triple amputation and the extra veterinary needs were not a “wait and see” situation.
After she got her mobility suits, Sprinkle still acted like she owned the place, yelling at her momma when she didn’t get what she wanted and refusing cuddles.
Even when she tore stitches and had to deal with a UTI, she bounced off the bed like a tiny thunderstorm, thud and all, in whatever cute suit she picked that day.
We hope she finds a forever home with family members who will love her purrsonality and take care of her every need. She's a wild one, but we're sure there is a family or person out there who will appreciate Sprinkle for who she is.
They may need to find new stylish suits for her too! She's a growing kitty, after all!
Sprinkle didn’t just survive the hard stuff, she made it look like her loudest, funniest comeback.
