Extremely Malnourished Stray Dog Looks Completely Different Now That She's Been Shown Love And Care
Emily arrived at the RSPCA's Danaher Animal Home in heartbreaking condition, so thin and weak that staff could see she needed urgent care. Her rescue quickly turned into a full recovery story, with the shelter team helping her rebuild her strength one small meal at a time.
As the weeks passed, Emily began to gain weight, settle down, and show more of her personality. That progress made it possible for a loving family to step in and give her the forever home she had been waiting for.
Now Emily looks like a completely different dog, and her new life is only getting better.
Emily was brought to RSPCA's Danaher Animal Home in a horrible condition

Even while Emily still experiences occasional anxiety in her new home, she has made a remarkable recovery since the time she initially came to the shelter. Everyone who has been part of her healing journey is overjoyed to see her flourishing. She looks like an entirely different dog.
She has come a long way since those first difficult days.
And if Emily’s progress has you smiling, check out how a formerly fearful dog learned to trust affectionate caresses.
“She was little more than skin and bones,” Louisa Duranti, the deputy manager at Danaher Animal Home, said

She was put on a special diet where the staff fed her little and often to slowly build up her weight and strength.

And now she is happy and healthy in her forever home

“Emily is doing really well and has almost completely settled in now,” her owner says.

It was difficult to picture Emily as a healthy, carefree puppy when she was initially saved. Her new family doesn't mind at all because they are just so pleased to see her confidence rising. In fact, she is now doing so well that she occasionally feels comfortable disobeying the rules.
That happy ending came after a rough start.
Wait until you see how a freezing-cold abandoned senior dog survived after rescue from the cold.
