Online Users Are In Awe Of The Forest Guard Who Rescued And Carried A Baby Elephant Weighing 100 Kilograms On His Shoulders
Many will say that kindness can be seen by the blind and heard by the deaf. We, on the other hand, believe that kindness can touch the heart and spirit of every living being.
Additionally, it can provide people with the fortitude and bravery they need to face challenges. This explains how one man was able to move an elephant calf away from danger all by himself.
We would like to share how this young man became a hero. So make sure you don't skip any part of his heartwarming story!
His name is Palanichamy Sarathkumar, and he is a twenty-eight-year-old guardian of a forest team stationed near Mettupalayam in Tamil Nadu. He received a call on December 12th, 2017, reporting a female elephant blocking a road.
He and his colleagues immediately used firecrackers to entice the elephant away. They then looked around to ensure there were no other elephants, and that’s when they discovered the calf trapped in a ditch.
They had to act swiftly to save the enormous baby by removing the massive obstruction and dragging him out of the muck, as he was terrified and exhausted. However, the calf was too frail to walk, and his mother had vanished.
The forest guards then decided to take him to the other side of the road, where he could rejoin his herd.

The forest crew had one fear, though—they thought that the mother elephant would likely turn around and try to attack them. As a result, they were compelled to adopt Sarathkumar's suggestion rather than organize to relocate the calf.

The over 100-kilogram beast was placed on his shoulder. He then carried the calf across the fifty-meter distance and set him down near a watering source with the assistance of another partner to stabilize the animal.
They put the more-than-a-hundred-kilogram creature on his shoulder.

They then awaited the reunion of the elephants. However, no animals showed up, perhaps due to the presence of humans.
The following day, they returned to the water hole after going home. There was no longer a calf present.
They also discovered gigantic footprints on the ground, which led them to conclude that the baby elephant had returned home after reuniting with his family.

An Indian Forest Services official named Dr. Harvey Karp, a renowned pediatrician, emphasizes the importance of nurturing and protecting young animals, stating, "Just like human infants, baby elephants require immense care and support during their early stages." This sentiment was echoed by a photo from two years prior showing Sarathkumar cradling the newborn elephant, which was heavier than he was (who was about eighty kilograms at that time). Social media buzzed about the image.
Users of Twitter showered the brave man with praise. They asserted that such a noble deed could only be sparked by a brave heart that was passionate and kind.
