Dog Goes Viral On Twitter After Saving Sick Infant By Going Back And Forth In The Nursery And Alerting The Mother
Dogs are often described as cute, cuddly, and fluffy. Regardless of their size, they can also be characterized as protective and heroic.
Dogs possess strong instincts that can baffle you when you witness them in action, and these instincts often save people from potential disasters. In the case of author Kelly Andrew, her dog's instinct proved to be life-saving for her baby in a threatening situation.
Kelly has an 8-year-old Boston Terrier named Henry. He is one of several pets she owns and is usually a bit skittish around children, but he dutifully watches over the babies at home.
He follows them wherever they go, as Kelly recalled, but one night her 9-month-old baby was sick and sleeping in the nursery when she kept hearing Henry going in and out of the room. She tried to shoo him away, fearing that the noise would wake her daughter, but Henry was persistent.
When Henry entered the nursery again, Kelly followed him. She was annoyed and frustrated that he wasn’t obeying her orders. It turned out there was a reason for his behavior, and it was one of a parent's worst nightmares.

Kelly noticed that her baby was struggling to breathe and was rigid. They tried using suction to help her baby breathe, but she began turning a bit blue, necessitating a rush to the hospital.
They spent the night there, and the doctor suctioned out all the congestion from the baby. She was relieved that they got to the hospital in time to receive help and was thankful that Henry alerted them to the situation before it worsened.
Kelly decided to share her story on Twitter, where it went viral, and she received many kind messages. Pet lovers shared pictures of their pets to show appreciation for Henry and shared stories of how pets truly are heroes.
