Heroic Dobermann Takes Venomous Bites From Serpent In A Bid To Save Defenseless Baby
A Dobermann named Khan didn’t just “act brave” for attention, he went into full hero mode the moment his baby sister Charlotte was in danger.
Five days after joining Catherine and her family, Khan watched as the little one got too close to a venomous snake. Catherine, Charlotte’s mother, says Khan tried to nudge Charlotte away, but when it didn’t work, he grabbed her by the back of her nappy and hurled her over his shoulder more than a meter, right as the snake struck.
The terrifying part is how Khan took the venomous bite himself, all to keep Charlotte safe.

Right after Catherine realized the snake was the problem, she saw Khan stop trying to guide Charlotte and start physically getting between her and the danger.
“If I had not seen it with my own eyes, I would never have believed it,” said Charlotte’s mother, Catherine. “Khan was really concentrating; he kept trying to nudge her, but it wasn’t working, so he grabbed her by the back of the nappy and threw her over his shoulder more than a meter.”
Khan took a venomous bite to the paw, but he ensured that the snake didn't harm Charlotte in any way.
Safe and sound
That’s when Khan got bitten on the paw, but the snake never got a chance to reach Charlotte as Catherine watched from right there.
“Charlotte looked pretty shocked, and Khan screamed like he’d been stabbed,” Catherine continued. “I realized quickly it was a snake, and Khan had been trying to get in between her and the snake before he threw her.”
The family was very thankful to Khan for saving Charlotte. They certainly felt indebted to this brave pup.
Catherine said they would do anything for Khan after what he did for their daughter. It was surprising that a dog who had been with them for just five days would make such a sacrifice for them.

It took just 5 days for Khan to prove his worth to the family
The next twist came fast, because Khan went inside after the attack, collapsed, and then had to recover overnight with anti-venom.
After getting bitten, Khan quickly went inside and collapsed. He later received anti-venom from a vet to help his system cope.
Luckily, he made it through the night and was able to have a big breakfast the next day.
Catherine shared how moved her family was by Khan's brave and caring behavior. She also talked about how they came to rescue and adopt this amazing dog!
