Dog Rescue in NC Asks 2nd Graders To Draw Shelter Dogs To Help Them Get Adopted, And The Drawings Are Absolutely Adorable
Some rescue stories are sweet, but this one is especially hard to resist. In North Carolina, Adoption First Rescue found a creative way to help shelter dogs stand out, and it involved second graders, crayons, and a whole lot of personality.
The kids were asked to draw the rescue dogs, giving each pup a fresh chance to catch a future adopter's eye. The results are charming, funny, and surprisingly moving, which is exactly why the campaign is spreading so fast online.
Now the drawings are getting attention far beyond the classroom, and the dogs are getting a little extra help finding homes.

Unfortunately, North Carolina rescues are finding it particularly difficult to find loving forever homes for their animals, so they continue to be overrun with puppies. These dogs must find homes as soon as possible, or they will be taken to the horrible...
Fortunately, they receive help from other shelters. Many animal shelters in U.S. coastal areas that don't have as many stray dogs may travel all the way to North Carolina to retrieve pets and find homes for them there.
It's a long and challenging road, but people will always fight for mankind's closest companions. However, even that is sometimes not enough.
Thankfully, someone came up with this wonderful idea, and we know it is going to work.
