15 People Share Photos Of Cats That Unexpectedly Showed Up In Their Homes
Cats have a talent for showing up exactly where they are not supposed to be, and these photos prove it. One minute a home is perfectly ordinary, the next it has a surprise visitor curled up on the bed, the couch, or even in the kitchen.
The people in this roundup did not plan on hosting a neighbor’s cat, a stray, or a very confident wanderer, but that did not stop the animals from making themselves comfortable. The result is a collection of funny, adorable, and slightly chaotic moments shared by members of the Facebook group “My House, Not My Cat.”
Here are 15 photos of cats that unexpectedly showed up and acted like they belonged there all along.
1. “This is my glass of water, this is my house, this is not my cat drinking my water in my house; this is my neighbor’s cat, Ted!”

2. “First photo: this was not my cat. He just entered my house and slept in my bed.
“Second photo: now he climbs on me. Third photo: he’s definitely my cat now.”

“Update! SHE HAD A CHIP! Her family lost her almost two years ago! Mom was in TEARS. I’m so very selfishly sad, but I just made a whole family incredibly happy.”
