Special Needs Cat Charms His Way Into His 'Purrfect' Forever Home
Eggbert did not stay available for long. The special needs cat, who was listed for adoption by an Ohio shelter, found his forever home in just one day, and it is easy to see why he made such an impression.
Born with only one eye and one nostril, Eggbert has never let his differences slow him down. The Fairfield Area Humane Society described him as an absolute angel, and his playful, affectionate personality quickly won people over.
When Holly Starr saw him on Facebook, she knew he belonged with her family, especially because her other cat, Lark, also has one eye. Read on.
Handsome Eggbert was born with only one eye and one nostril.

But his physical "abnormalities" have never stopped him from living his best life!

And it’s a twist on “clingy” too, like Jerry the cat abandoned for being “too affectionate”.
When Holly Starr spotted Eggbert on Facebook, she knew immediately that he was meant to be a part of her family.

She also knew that her other cat, Lark, who also has only one eye, would love Eggbert too!
Fairfield was delighted and agreed that the pair would "be great friends." So, Holly called the shelter the next day and arranged a time to meet Eggbert.
Of course, the entire family fell in love with Eggbert right away, and just like that, he found his new home. He and Lark are now best buddies, and Eggbert is enjoying being spoiled by his new humans.
"I've always had a special place in my heart for animals with special needs," Holly said. "I want to make sure they have a loving home where they get all the attention they can handle."
And Fairfield couldn't be happier with the outcome. "We know Eggy is in the best hands," they said.

"He couldn't have found a better home! He is going to be loved and spoiled rotten."

Sadly, many special needs cats are not as lucky as Eggbert and tend to be overlooked as people want to adopt a "normal cat." However, these incredible felines are so full of love and loyalty.
Every animal deserves a loving home, regardless of its situation. Special needs animals may require even more love and attention than the average pet, but the rewards they bring are well worth the extra effort.
So, if you're thinking about adopting a new pet, please consider a special needs animal. You won't regret it!
Eggbert's story is a sweet reminder that the right home can change everything.
