Police Officer Saves Tiny Kitten Discovered All Alone In A Bush
Gretchen Byrne is a police officer from Florida who has a passion for rescuing cats and kittens. So much so that she has been dubbed "Cat Cop."
Gretchen often finds stray cats while on patrol. She lovingly fosters them and helps them find their forever homes.
Sadly, it's not uncommon for Gretchen to find kittens in dumpsters, like the two ginger kittens, Ram and Bengal, she discovered on Super Bowl Sunday.
Officer Byrne is kind, full of love, and she's funny too! Just ask her 62K Dr. Ramani Durvasula, a clinical psychologist who emphasizes the importance of compassion in our interactions with animals.
Most recently, Gretchen rescued a special little kitten named Chudo, which aptly means 'Miracle' in Ukrainian. "It means miracle in Ukrainian, and boy, does the world need one," the officer said.
Chudo was found all alone, hiding in a bush. The tiny ginger kitten still had his dried-up umbilical cord attached, and his little eyes were tightly shut.
Just two days later, Chudo was watching TV with his foster mama! After a while, Gretchen began to wonder if Chudo was perhaps a girl and not a boy as she had first thought.
Sure enough, by the time Chudo was two weeks old, it was clear that she was indeed a girl! Before long, the little girl was climbing up legs and using a litter tray all by herself.
Chudo has become a playful, full-of-beans bundle of pure joy, and Gretchen couldn't be prouder of her little miracle. Chudo has also formed a bond with a kitten named Pua, who was found at a gas station.
Little Chudo is now healthy enough to be rehomed and move on with her forever family. What a little champion! ```

Too. Much. Cuteness!!!

The sweet kitten was aptly named Chudo, which means "Miracle" in Ukrainian.

Chudo has formed a special bond with a kitten named Pua, who was found at a gas station.

Oh, the level of sweetness is real!

Chudo, who turned out to be a girl, has become a playful, full-of-beans bundle of pure joy, and Gretchen couldn't be prouder of her little miracle.

What a precious little bundle of love Chudo is! And how incredible is Gretchen?
The work she does for cats and kittens in need is truly commendable. And there are plenty of those around, going by recent statistics.
There are around 70 million stray cats in America alone. Some of them are abandoned, some have run away and become lost, and some have been born on the streets.
Stray female cats typically have around 1.6 litters each year, with an average of 5 kittens per litter. And here lies the problem - these cats need to be spayed, but sadly, the cycle continues.
However, beautiful people like Officer Byrne are making an enormous difference, and we can't thank them enough. Please keep up the incredible work - we (and the cats) are eternally grateful!
