Cat Life Is Perfectly Showcased By This Artist's Wonderful Illustrations
Cats have a way of turning ordinary routines into something worth smiling about, and Rita Vigovszky captures that feeling perfectly in her charming illustrations. Her work follows the small, funny moments that cat owners know all too well, from lazy naps to sudden bursts of mischief.
The Hungary-based digital artist has built a playful series around life with her cat, Miyu, and the result is instantly relatable. She started drawing as a child, later worked as a graphic designer, and eventually returned to making her own illustrations full time.
With so many of the drawings reflecting everyday cat behavior, it is easy to see why these scenes feel so familiar. Read on.
Like the majority of cats, most of the time she is sleeping somewhere near her owner or just causing some mischief. "Cats are a great inspiration for comics and pictures, as they always do something funny or cute. Even if they do nothing, they still enhance the pictures with their cuteness."

Rita started drawing when she was just a little girl. Being an illustrator was her childhood dream, so she became a graphic designer in 2012. She says she "loved it very much," but she still missed "drawing her own things," so she dedicated this year to creating her own illustrations. She has done a fantastic job describing life with a cat.

Like most people in the world, the artist is also in self-isolation, so she spoke about her view of the situation: "I am very lucky because I've already been working from home, so the quarantine didn't interfere with my career. However, I'd really like to spend more time outside, meet my friends, and see concerts. Until then, art and my cat are still here for me."

Rita’s cozy mischief reminds me of owners crying over Disney-style pet portraits after their pets crossed the rainbow bridge.
