Buddy did not start out like a “forever home” kind of cat. He started out as a rough-looking stray, injured and stranded by the side of a busy road, where every passing car could mean danger and every minute could mean worse.
And then a woman spotted him and actually stopped. She pulled over, grabbed food from her trunk, and followed Buddy as he inched toward her, cautious and barely hanging on. It was a race against time, made even harder because Buddy needed more than a quick meal, he needed a safe place to recover while his health issues caught up with him.
That’s how Buddy went from death’s door to a warm future, and the post that helped make it happen is the real turning point.
Buddy was found injured at the side of a bustling road
The second the woman cracked open that can in the parking lot, Buddy slowly decided to trust her instead of the road.
A woman was passing by when she spotted an injured Buddy lying by the side of the road. She stopped her car and stepped out to help him. She pulled over to see if he was okay… she grabbed some food from her trunk and followed him. When she opened the can, he slowly and cautiously made his way to her. With some patience and the help of another foster, they were able to safely secure him.”
Buddy was finally safe
Once Buddy was secured with help from another foster, his “just found” story turned into a full-on rescue mission.
The woman who stopped was an animal foster caregiver, and she got Buddy some food from her vehicle. She gently secured Buddy with the help of another caregiver.

After scrutinizing various options, the rescue was able to find him a perfect sanctuary in Boston, Massachusetts. Here, he would not only enjoy the company of other cats, but it also ensures a secure setting for his recuperation and any required medical interventions.

After he landed in Boston with other cats around him, Buddy stopped looking like a stray and started looking like he finally belonged.
