Check Out This Heroic Moment When A Man Rescued A Horse Stuck In A Fence
Some rescue stories hit harder than others, and this one has all the ingredients for a memorable one. A family drive through the Green Mountains turned into a tense moment when they spotted a horse trapped in a fence and struggling to get free.
Melisa Tysver, her husband Tony, and their daughter were the ones who stopped to help, and what happened next was equal parts risky, kind, and unforgettable. The horse was exhausted, the situation was delicate, and every second mattered.
By the time the family finished helping, they had a story worth sharing, and the horse had a second chance. Read on.
The Heroes of the Day
Melisa Tysver, her husband Tony, and her daughter were enjoying a trip through the Green Mountains in Wyoming when they spotted a wild horse struggling.
A Horse in Distress

The horse was on the ground with her legs stuck in a fence. It was evident that she had been there for a while.
A Risky Move

Even though approaching an unfamiliar animal in distress isn’t the safest thing to do, Tony didn’t miss a beat as he hurried to help the horse.
He carefully freed the horse by cutting the wires that were keeping her in place.
The Horse Was Too Weak to Move After Being Freed, But Tony and His Daughter Gave Her the Needed Emotional Support

After being freed, the horse stayed on the ground, unable to move. Tony and his daughter began to pet her until she regained her strength.
This is right in line with the brave rescuers who tried to save two horses stuck on a frozen lake.
A Cheerleader for the Rescue Team

Throughout the heroic process, Melissa was behind the camera, encouraging her daughter and husband.
In her words:
Whatever you’re doing, you’re doing all right because it’s not fighting you.
That was one very calm voice to have in the middle of a rescue.
Sharing the Beautiful Moment
They shared the moment online, and it unsurprisingly went viral. Fans of the video received more great news when Melisa shared an update.
She revealed that they were able to track down the same herd later on to check up on the horse. To their excitement, the wild horse was doing excellently well and was even leading the pack.
That update made the whole rescue feel even better.
