Rescuers Swing Into Action to Save Kitty Abandoned in a Florida Home Without Food, Water, and Air Conditioning
Cats have long been regarded as some of the cutest pets in the animal kingdom, and for good reason. They provide great companionship for humans with their playful antics, purring warmth, and soothing presence.
However, not everyone is deserving of the privilege of owning a feline companion. Tragically, some individuals neglect and abuse these innocent creatures, displaying a complete lack of understanding of their needs.
The story of Strontium, a pale orange kitty in Bradenton, Florida, serves as a grim example of the dark side of pet ownership.
A team of rescuers dedicated to helping feral cats through TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) was initially pleased to reunite Strontium with his former guardians. Nevertheless, the situation took a disturbing turn when the family revealed their true colors, displaying possessiveness rather than genuine care for the cat.
Strontium faced constant neglect and abuse, which forced the rescuers to track him down and retrieve him once more—this time, never to return again! We cannot stress enough how important it is to be a responsible pet parent.
We must understand that animals are sentient beings that feel pain, love, and happiness just like humans. So why welcome them into your home only to treat them with contempt?
We cannot thank these animal rescuers enough for playing an important role in keeping cats like Strontium safe. Who knows what would have happened if he had been allowed to stay in that household for even one more day?

Say Hello to Strontium

According to Nala’s Foster Kittens, “When our wonderful trapper found him, his ‘owners’ begged to have him back and to maintain the relationship for the trappers. We vetted him and returned him.”
Sadly, it didn't take long before the rescuers regretted sending Strontium back to his former parents. The poor kitty returned to a life of neglect and abuse.
The Rescuers Didn't Hesitate to Go Back for Strontium After Discovering He Was Being Neglected and Abused

“On Thursday, this same ‘owner’ told the trapper that they had an emergency and were leaving him behind when they left. Our trapper friend immediately went to get him. His ‘owner’ left him in the house with no food, no water, and no air conditioning in Florida,” Nala’s Foster Kittens said.
