Adorable Cat Named Giggles Has A Permanently Angry Face
Some cats look like they are permanently annoyed, and Giggles is one of them. The tabby’s grumpy face made him look like a tough stray when a woman in Akron, Ohio, first spotted him near her home, but his personality told a very different story.
After spending time with the cat, she realized he was affectionate, gentle, and eager for attention. She reached out to Riggi Rescue for help, and the rescue soon stepped in to care for the stray and figure out what came next.
Then Giggles started winning people over almost immediately.
The rescue affectionately called the cat Giggles and began looking for his owner. Despite his angry face, Giggles was quick to show his gratitude with lots of cuddles.
"His demeanor is very chill," Anielski said. "He's super laid-back; he loves to plop down next to you wherever you're sitting and wants you to scratch his belly. So, he's really, really loving."
When no one came forward to claim the cat, the rescue posted a photo of him on their Facebook page. It wasn't long before the pictures of Giggles and his frowning face went viral on social media.

This is the same vibe as the catographer’s mean-looking portraits that are adorably terrifying.
"We were really surprised because we're just a little group of people who love cats, and now one of our cats is Insta-famous," Anielski said. "It was really exciting."
Anielski says that Giggles made it perfectly clear who he wanted as his forever family. "When they first met, it was an instant connection, like they had known each other forever," she said.
"It was the sweetest thing to watch. He just walked right up to his new mom, started rubbing up on her legs, rolled over, and was just immediately in love with her."
Giggles now helps out the shelter by promoting their services and generating excitement about adopting cats. When he's not busy working, Giggles loves spending time with his two cat brothers and their loving humans.

"He really just wants human companionship, and I think he's really happy that he has that now," Anielski said.
