Clingy Cat Wouldn't Let His Owner Go to Class, So She Just Brought Him With Her
A sleepy classroom scene in China turned into an internet favorite after one student showed up with her cat tucked inside her school desk. The one-year-old Munchkin, Ba Dun, seemed determined to stay close, even if that meant tagging along to class and hiding in plain sight.
Ms. Wen, a university student in Xi'an, said her cat would not let her leave home without him that morning. So instead of fighting it, she brought him with her, and the result was a viral moment that had millions of people watching the tiny stowaway.
Ba Dun may have tried to stay unnoticed, but the video made sure he got plenty of attention anyway. Read on.
This Cat Is Especially Cute with His Short Legs

Ms. Wen, a university student from Xi'an in northwestern China, told reporters she was getting ready for class on Friday morning when her cat, Ba Dun, started cuddling with her.
"Ba Dun kept cuddling up to my leg and looking really sad because he wanted me to stay with him," she said.
"But I was running late for my class. I couldn't bear letting him down, so I brought him with me to the classroom," Ms. Wen explained.
After concealing the cat inside her school desk, Ms. Wen captured on video the cute scene as Ba Dun lay quietly, evidently trying to remain unnoticed.
"He was being really good and didn't make any sounds," said the owner.
Ba Dun's name loosely translates to "eight meals." He was given this interesting name because of his enormous appetite, Ms. Wen said.
"He could definitely eat eight meals every day if I let him."
That tiny desk hideout did not stop the cat from becoming the star of the class.
Also, this drama feels like the cat who clung to the door frame to avoid the cold.

Ms. Wen posted the video on the Chinese TikTok-like platform Douyin, and it gathered more than 300 million views.
One viewer commented, "Oh my god, does he realize how adorable he is?"
Another viewer replied, "Look at those big, curious eyes! He is studying hard as well."
This is the kind of clip the internet cannot resist.
While Ba Dun enjoys being in class, another cat in China clearly doesn’t like homework and would rather play.
In this video, Zai Zai, a seven-month-old American Shorthair, is trying to distract his young owner, who is attempting to focus.
Wait until you hear about the parent who demanded her neighbor’s Persian cat for her son.
