Cats and Coffee Come Together in This Russian Illustrator's Breathtaking Art
Some cat photos are cute, and some turn into full-blown art projects. Russian illustrator Elena Efremova found a way to make both cat lovers and coffee fans stop scrolling.
She matched cats to coffee drinks based on their fur colors and patterns, then turned the idea into her “coffee cats” series. The lineup includes espresso, latte, cappuccino, macchiato, and more, all with a cozy, playful feel.
The result is a charming mix of whiskers and caffeine that feels oddly perfect. Read on.
Espresso
Espresso is a "strong black coffee made by forcing steam through ground coffee beans." This does look like a strong, distinctive cat, don't you think?

Latte
A creamy, coffee-colored kitty cat.

Street cats get the same “urban icon” treatment as Helin Bereket’s camera captures.
Coffee with Ice Cream
Two cats come together to create something incredible.

Cappuccino
Catpuccino is more like it.

Macchiato
Featuring this illustrated kitty's murder mittens.

Americano
"Caffè Americano is a type of coffee drink prepared by diluting an espresso with hot water, giving it a similar strength to, but a different flavor from, traditionally brewed coffee."
A strong but different cat, indeed.

À la Française
"Service à la française is the practice of serving various dishes of a meal at the same time," which sounds a lot like any given cat's personality...

Wait until you see how the cat café crowd welcomed a one-eyed rescue cat.
