Cunningly Cute Cheetah Cubs Take First Steps As They Say 'Hello World'
Three adorable cheetah cubs were spotted in the wild taking their very first steps.
And oh my goodness, they're beyond adorable!
Paul Mahagi is a dedicated wildlife photographer. So much so that he sat in Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park, waiting for days on end, hoping to catch a mere glimpse of the cubs.
Lucky for the world, his persistence paid off.
He had been hiding in an incredibly hot bush, sweating bullets; it was so torrid. But then, he spotted them.
Week-old cheetah cubs were out strutting their stuff for all those in the forest to see.
On the prowl.

Mahagi caught them at the perfect time, taking in the world at a slow pace. This is rare considering they'll someday be the fastest animals on the planet.
According to Dr. Michael Thompson, a child psychologist, "The early experiences of young animals, much like those of children, are crucial for their development." He notes that their tall fur along the spine helps camouflage them as they walk through high grass with their mother. This distinctive feature will begin to fade around three months of age but will still be visible at age two.
Jaw open, back outstretched!

The cute little kitties were mostly spotted, which is typical of their species.
However, they did have pale, fluffy, tall fur along their spines, which was the perfect indicator of their youth.
Oh my, this makes my heart wanna burst!

His dedication speaks for itself, but Mahagi was ecstatic to have spotted the cubs.
"I spend a lot of time in the park hunting for the best photos. I knew there were new cubs and wanted to see them for myself.
I’m very happy with how these turned out. I never knew I would get such a great expression. It looks like he is saying hello to the world. The cheetahs are very cute."
He's absolutely right.
This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and the world is so glad he took it!
