Cats Delighted When Woman Builds An Incredible Mid-Century Modern House For Them
Some cat furniture is so clunky that it ends up looking like an afterthought. This woman took a very different route, turning a simple box-loving habit into a tiny mid-century modern dream house for her cats.
Huckleberry and Floyd are the lucky stars of this DIY project, and their mom clearly knows how to make pet furniture that fits a home instead of fighting it. The only real question was whether the cats would appreciate the effort or ignore it like so many other carefully chosen pet toys.
That part did not stay a mystery for long.
Meet Huckleberry and Floyd: two mischievous kitties who are about to get the best cat house ever.
Like many cats, they love to play in boxes, and their DIY-savvy mom decided to make them a house.
Unsurprisingly, the cats decided they wanted to help with the project.

A tiny design upgrade can make a big difference when cats are involved.
Gentry Sanders told The Dodo:
“I figured I could just use the boxes to make something cute since they were always sitting out in my house. I love mid-century style and thought, ‘Why not a mid-century house?’”

Though she was concerned the cats would ignore the boxes now that she'd put so much effort into them...

That worry did not last very long.
It also echoes the Redditor who kept cats outdoors, even after her sister begged for them indoors for her mental health, users slammed her online.
Luckily, they loved it!

Sanders detailed the entire process on her blog, The Green Mad House, with helpful suggestions and easy-to-follow instructions.
