Labradoodle Dog Gets Detained In The Principal’s Office For Following His Family’s Kids To School
Labradoodles can be affectionate, loyal, and a little too committed to their people, and Sandy is a perfect example of that. This family dog has one mission every morning, follow the kids to school, even when he is not supposed to.
Sandy lives with Karen Manthey and her children, and his habit of sneaking after them has turned into a running household problem. The kids usually catch him before he gets far, but one day he finally made it all the way to school and straight into the principal’s office.
That is when the family realized Sandy was not giving up anytime soon.
It all began with a puppy.

Sandy and the kids are very close, and the dog tries to follow them every time they go to school. They mostly walk to school, and his M.O. is sneaking out of the house and slowly joining them.
However, the kids always catch the dog and send him home before he makes it too far. No matter how many times he gets caught, he simply won’t give up trying to follow them to school.

One day, Sandy finally succeeded. He slipped out successfully, and the kids didn't see him while walking to school, every part of his plan worked perfectly, and he made it to school without anyone noticing.
When Sandy showed up at school with the kids, everyone was amused, and he was taken straight to the principal's office to wait for his adult family members to come and pick him up. The school staff couldn't reach his mom, so they allowed one of his kids to walk him back, and his mom was extremely surprised when the guilty dog appeared at their front door.
"I didn't realize he was missing until my daughter showed up at home with Sandy," Manthey said. "The school had tried calling me, but my phone was turned off. My neighbor, who was at the school, snapped the infamous picture of him to ask if he was mine. Because we live so close, the school allowed my daughter to run him home. They were both thrilled with the adventure."
This also feels like the teen who broke into a cousin’s house to rescue a friend’s dog.

Although Sandy had run away from home and went to school without anyone allowing him, he didn't seem to feel too bad about it. In fact, he was delighted.
"When he showed up at home, he was thrilled with the day's adventures," Manthey told reporters. "If anything, I think he'll try twice as hard to sneak off with the kids again."
Sandy's mom felt bad about her dog causing all the commotion and went to the school to apologize. However, no one at the school was upset; they all found it very amusing.

"They laughed pretty hard," Manthey said. "I showed up there to apologize and pay for the blinds, but their cool school janitor had already replaced them. Instead, they just asked me to email them the picture. The office ladies wanted it. He's actually quite obedient; his heart just sometimes overtakes his obedience training."
That school run turned into a family story nobody will forget.
