Dog Walking Down The Street Like A Human Being Makes One Man Question Everything

Brandon Ryan Rudowski was driving when something on the sidewalk made him do a double take. A fluffy black dog was moving down the street on his back paws, almost like a person, and for a second it looked impossible.

He was not alone in the scene, though. The dog’s human was right behind him, and the pair were simply out for a walk, even if one of them had a very unusual style. The sight was strange enough to make Rudowski question whether he was seeing things.

Then the video started making the rounds, and the real story behind Eli the miniature poodle became even more memorable. Read on.

The dog seemed in a hurry, but he was definitely not alone. His human was right behind him, and they were both going on a walk.

“I thought, ‘No, I’m just seeing things,’” he wrote.

Here's the actual video that was filmed by Brandon:

The Dodo reached out to a friend of the pet's owner, Colleen Susko, in order to confirm that what Rudowski saw was indeed a dog and not a person in a costume.

She confirmed that the scene is indeed real:

“The dog's name is Eli. He's a miniature poodle. He's always done that,” Susko told The Dodo, adding that it’s not the result of training, but rather something he does naturally when he’s excited.

This dog’s “playing dead” routine hits the same shock factor as Eli walking like a human.

That explanation makes the whole thing even more charming.

Here's what Eli's owner thinks about her dog's unusual habit:

“She doesn't mind, so she never stopped him from doing it,” Susko said. “He does it often. [But] he does still walk on all four legs, too. He’s a sweetie!”

Eli may not walk like every other dog, but he clearly knows how to get attention.

Still wondering why Eli acts so weird after dinner, read about the dog owner chasing answers for their pet’s strange post-meal behavior.
