Disapproving Dogs Are Absolutely Hysterical

Most of a dog’s photos that can be found online are about our beloved dogs being adorable, cheerful, happy, and sooooo cute. And that’s what dogs are; pictures don’t lie.

But every once in a while, our dogs can behave like humans. I guess they’ve picked it from us. And when kind-hearted creatures like dogs try to act like us, it’s simply hilarious.

This is especially true when dogs try to replicate some of our not so good qualities, like judgmental and disapproving looks. Of course, dogs have minds of their own...

A viral #DisapprovingDogChallenge hashtag on Facebook is inviting dog owners to share photos of their best buddies being grumpy and giving disapproving looks. We have compiled a list of the best photos, and we know you will love them.

But can dogs actually feel disapproval? Or is that just the way we interpret it sometimes? Wag! says that disapproval is an emotion most people agree dogs can feel.

"This means they can not only sense your disapproval, but they can also let you know when they are unhappy with something."

"Dogs are able to experience a wide range of emotions, very similar to humans. While they may not have the capability to feel some of the deeper emotions we can, the fact of the matter is that they are more like us than we thought."

The Wag! says that "in order to truly understand how dogs feel and what disapproval is like to them, we must look at dogs like we do young children. It is thought that dogs have the same emotional capacity of a two to two-and-a-half year old human, which can help explain their actions and reactions!"
