Irish Wolfhounds Pictures Emphasize How Massive This Dog Breed Really Is

Irish Wolfhounds are incredible dogs. This breed has a history believed to date back as far as 391 AD. Originally used as hunting dogs, these sweet-natured, affectionate animals are mostly known nowadays for their gigantic size.

According to the World Canine Federation standards, the desired height for one of these massive dogs is 32 inches (81 cm) to 34 inches (86 cm). These giant dogs may look menacing from a distance, but anyone who owns an Irish Wolfhound will attest that they are the most loving and gentle giants.

Large dogs often appear meaner than they are in reality, and this breed is no exception. It's high time we appreciate Irish Wolfhounds!
