Bobcat Family Recorded Enjoying Themselves On This Woman's Porch
High on the list of cats that “I want to be my pet” but “cannot be my pet because they are dangerous cats and wild creatures” is the humble bobcat. While, in appearance, a bobcat may slightly resemble the more common, less ferocious domestic cat; they do not match in personality!

While, like many people, I think it would be really cool to have the middle ground between a house cat and a lion as a pet—sadly, you can’t do that. Some wild cats are not meant to be pets—but I digress.
For a few hours however, this woman in Santa Fe was blessed with the presence of a family of bobcats in her back garden and she was lucky enough to get some stunning footage of them.
Artist Kathy Maniscalco posted this update about the bobcats on Facebook...
And included the most GORGEOUS photos
With a close up of these little guys
She told KOB4:
“Oh, lo and behold there were babies, babies that were having their milk snack. I thought, ‘Oh this is just too good to be true! What a gift!’ So I just kept recording little video clips and they stopped feeding then they started, in another video that I posted, they started playing.”
Here they are sleeping amongst her flower pots
She also posted this video of them having a milk snack!
Aren't they such a beautiful family?
Kathy said:
“We got to see their beautiful spotted tummies and the momma cleaning them and it was just so amazing. I couldn’t believe my eyes because I was literally 6 inches away from them. They did not mind at all my iPhone recording them.”
Here's the other video she posted
They're so fluffy!
Just look at this little cutie
The bobcat family moved on after spending around for hours in Kathy's garden
Friendly reminder that bobcats are NOT pets... but don't you secretly want one anyway?
