Seth Rogen Live-Tweeted His Way Through Watching 'Cats' While Stoned & In Isolation And We're Here For It
Seth Rogen turned a first-time viewing of Cats into a live comedy event, and the internet was absolutely ready for it. The movie has long been known for its strange CGI cat-human look, its nonstop singing, and the kind of plot that makes people ask the same question over and over: what is this even supposed to be?
While self-isolating during the coronavirus pandemic and, by his own admission, pretty stoned, Rogen started tweeting his reactions in real time. That meant every weird detail, from the Jellicles to the costumes to the infamous cat logic, got the full Seth Rogen treatment.
It only got stranger from there, especially once one very specific rumor about the film entered the chat.
So, very strange.

Seth decided to watch the film to keep himself entertained and relaxed while self-isolating during the coronavirus pandemic.
He started by asking the question that everyone who has ever watched the film has asked at least once: What the heck is a Jellicle, anyway?
Turns out, it's something that came about after T.S. Eliot, who wrote 'Cats,' noticed that when his little niece called for her pet cat, it sounded like she was saying, "Jellicle cat."

Seth went on to comment on the size of the cats: "That's a huge f***ing cat!"
He kept the jokes coming as the movie got even weirder.
In a strange turn of events, Rogen grew tired of the film and turned it off in favor of an episode of 90 Day Fiancé.
But not for long. He was soon back to the subject when a follower alerted him to an important fact about the film.
"A VFX producer friend of a friend was hired in November to finish some of the 400 effects shots in @catsmovie. His entire job was to remove CGI buttholes that had been inserted a few months before.
Which means that, somewhere out there, there exists a butthole cut of Cats."
Seth was amused, posting:
"Release the Butthole Cut of Cats!!"
