Cats might be some of the cutest creatures to walk the Earth, but don’t let their cuteness fool you. We’ve been cohabitating with ruthless criminals, armed and dangerous.

These deceivingly adorable beasts have unpredictable mood swings that can turn a sweet cuddle into a painful attack, thanks to their Murder-Mittens. As if the threat of unprovoked attack weren’t bad enough, it appears that some felines have turned to thievery.

I’m not just talking about how they’ve stolen our hearts, or our beds. But they have taken to stealing ours and others stuff.

You read that right, beloved Fluffy is a straight-up cat burglar. Anything can have a 5-toe bean discount if a kitty kleptomaniac sets its sights and sticky little paws on it.

It’s almost like they were built for a life of crime. They have the ability to see well at night, and how they can get around without a sound.

There are the obvious targets, like fresh fish from a market, pizza from our plate, or ham from a mysterious location. But also some things that one wouldn’t normally consider, like blankets, bird houses, shoes, and even a snowman’s nose.

Wait a meowment before you do something radical, like rushing off to call claw-enforcement, there’s likely a good reason for these acts of theft. They’re likely starving and wasting away because their food bowl probably has a hole of food missing from the middle.
