These Comics Accurately Show What It Is Like To Have A Cat
Some cats act like pets, and some act like tiny chaos agents with fur. Cody Stone Stowe has built a whole comic world around that second category, using his cat Coral as the star of his work.
What makes the comics hit so hard is how familiar they feel to anyone who has lived with a cat. From surprise scratches to litter box drama and relentless affection, Coral seems to capture every strange little thing cat owners recognize instantly.
Now the comics are doing what good pet humor always does, making people laugh because it feels a little too true.
This is Coral: Cody's inspiration and my hero.
He told Bored Panda:
"In 2016, while living in my own home, I thought it was time to get my first pet. A cat was always ideal since they seemed to be low maintenance (only slightly true). Coral was the first cat we picked up to hold; she climbed on my back, scratched the hell out of me, and from then on, she owned me."
Which really set the tone for their relationship!
That sounds about right for a cat's first impression.
