Video Of A Woman Leading A Parade Of Cats, Dogs, And Birds Looks Like It Came Directly From Some Disney Movie
A woman walking through Istanbul with a parade of cats, dogs, and birds behind her sounds like something out of a fantasy film, but that is exactly what one passerby captured on video. The clip, shared by Dilara İlter in 2017, quickly won people over because the animals seemed to follow the woman with complete trust.
What makes the scene even sweeter is that this was not a one-time moment. The woman was known for feeding stray animals in her neighborhood, and the street had clearly turned into her unofficial audience. It is the kind of video that makes people stop scrolling and smile.
And once you see the full scene, it is hard not to wonder how many animals she had already made part of her daily routine.
“The woman was walking very calmly,” Dilara says. “That lady is from my parents’ neighborhood, and my mom told me she’s a foreigner.”
“Every other day, she gathers stray animals around and feeds them, but at the time of recording the video, I didn’t know about this. The moment I saw her walking like that, I thought she was a wizard, surrounded by so many crows and cats.”

Dilara also mentioned that her mother tried to talk to the woman after the video went viral, but she didn’t speak Turkish well, so the conversation wasn’t very fruitful.
One year later, Dilara noticed the same woman, and the animal kingdom was still with her.
It turned out that the woman gathers stray animals from the neighborhood every other day to feed them, and these animal carnivals continue.
“I know that she feeds the animals on this street very often, which is a common practice in Turkey,” Dilara clarified. “In Istanbul, we love and care for stray animals, especially cats. They’re the symbol of the city.”
People online were just as charmed by the scene.
