Firefighters have been saving lives for as long as we can remember. They are so brave that they literally run toward danger, and once they do, there is no turning back. They rarely give up, and they will do their job even if it costs them their lives.
They are so inspiring that every child dreams of becoming a firefighter when they grow up. Let's not forget that they do much more than fight fires; they save people who are hurt, trapped in a car, or stuck in a building, which means they are constantly working non-stop. They are essentially superheroes.
To support the Children's Hospital Foundation, the Australian Firefighters Calendar was established in 1993 to provide funds for research into childhood burns.
The Australian Firefighters Calendar has managed to raise over $3 million this year for various charities!
