Bulldog Pair Love Looking Out Through The Fence, So Their Humans Painted Funny Costumes for Them
Bogart the bulldog did not need much to become an internet favorite, just a fence, a curious face, and a pair of painted cutouts that made him look like he was posing for a goofy photo booth. The sight of him peeking through the opening was funny enough on its own, but his humans took the joke one step further and turned the whole setup into a neighborhood attraction.
The dog lives in Gråsten, Denmark, with his owner, Ranveig Bjørklid Levinsen, her husband, Claus, and their two bulldogs, Winston and Bogart. What started as a practical fence fix became a viral moment once people noticed the painted costumes, and Bogart’s story quickly spread far beyond the walking path outside his home.
Now the little bulldog is getting attention for all the right reasons, and the fence has become part of his charm. Read on.
Bored Panda is the one who dug until they found out Bogart's identity, and when they reached out to Ranveig for more commentary, she proudly provided more details.
“I’m living in the southern part of Jutland, Denmark, in an old house (1814) together with my husband, Claus, and our two bulldogs, Winston and Bogart-it’s Bogart in the video,” she spoke of her family.
Meet Bogart: The adorable bulldog pup that loves to stare down the street.

“He is a 4-year-old English Bulldog, almost ‘homemade’-we have his mother, Winston (she doesn’t care about the male name),” Levinsen vividly described Bogart, “and we decided that she should have puppies. She had 8, and we kept Bogart-he was the smallest and totally cute,” the woman happily continued. “He has a unique personality, and he is so funny-I really do love that little guy.”
The hole, the painting—it's all completely genius. I love it.

Such a sweet face!

“We live close to a walking path, so many people pass by every day, and the dogs are just so curious,” his owner revealed.
“To prevent them from skipping the fence, we made the holes, but even if it was funny to see them from the other side, I thought it would look even funnier if we painted something,” she explained. “You know, like in amusement parks where you can have your photo taken in these kinds of holes,” she said.
Obviously settling on a crown and jester hat, Ranveig's daughter is the one who actually created the paintings and brought them to life.
Seriously the cutest thing I've ever seen two bulldogs do.

Ranveig also shared the reactions she gets from people.
“I, myself, am blown away that my little dog has gone viral-just because he looks goofy,” she said of what she thought of Bogart.
It’s hard not to think of the bulldog who befriended a rescued fox, despite “The Fox and the Hound” odds.
