Cat Takes His Comforting “Baby” Blanket With Him Wherever He Goes
Some kittens arrive with a toy, and some arrive with a toy that quickly becomes their whole personality. Renly, a tiny rescue with a rough start, found exactly that kind of comfort after Sara Budzynowski brought him home to foster.
Budzynowski had been caring for him at Wilson Veterinary Hospital, where he was treated for an infected tail that later had to be partially amputated. Once he joined her home, she and her fiancé showered him with a blanket and stuffed bunny, and Renly latched onto the blanket almost immediately.
Now, months later, he still carries it everywhere, and the little routine has turned into the sweetest part of his day.

Budzynowski and her fiancé were very happy to have him in their home and started spoiling him immediately. They bought him a cuddly blanket and a cute stuffed bunny. Now, 10 months later, he’s still completely obsessed with them.
The blanket and the stuffed bunny have been there since the day he arrived at his new home.

He carries the blanket with him all the time.
“He has loved his blanket from the day we took him home and usually carries it around his room to wherever he wants to sleep with it.”
The blanket is his favorite.

In the meantime, the couple has also adopted two corgis, Hotchner and Azula, and now he has started acting like a real big brother, sharing his treasured blanket with them.
“Hotchner and Renly sleep in the same room, and sometimes when we come home from work to let them out, we see that Renly puts his blanket next to Hotch’s crate, and Hotch tries to pull it inside the crate with him, so it’s like Renly is trying to share it with him too.”

When the blanket is not around, a stuffed bunny will do.

Renly’s attachment to the blanket is probably so strong because he received it the day he was adopted and came into this loving family. The blanket reminds him of the people he loves, and it’s likely a way to keep them with him always.
“Over the months, that blanket has seen a lot and has gone through the wash many times, but I can’t bear to replace it and plan on keeping it for him for the rest of his life,” Budzynowski concluded.
