This Woman Used a Chicken Coop as an Ingenious Solution to Keep Her Cats Safe
Some pet owners will go to surprising lengths to keep their animals happy, and one woman found a clever way to give her cats fresh air without putting them in danger.
After learning that coyotes were coming near the house, Reddit user Jacsmom looked for a safer outdoor setup, and the solution they landed on was anything but ordinary. Instead of giving up on outdoor time altogether, they turned to a chicken coop and made it work for their cats.
That unusual fix sparked a few reactions, and one reply showed just how many people are trying to solve the same problem in different ways.
Reddit user Jacsmom discovered that coyotes come near their house, so they tried to find a way to let their cats experience fresh air while still keeping them safe.
So she modified a chicken coop!
She raised it up and added a floor. She said:
I used plywood, carpet, and wire grid that we already had, so just the cost of the wheels, which was about 20 extra bucks, making it $200 total. I definitely recommend wheels; you can disconnect it from the house very easily that way when you go away from home and want the window locked extra tight.

A clever workaround for a very real problem.
Another user replied, saying they had a similar thought but ended up just screening in the porch instead.

That idea sounds a lot more familiar.
This is similar to the entitled neighbors who stole a cat, then dumped him at the vet months later.

Would you?
