“Some cats do silly things to get our attention; we run and get our cameras, cooing and paying attention to them,” she notes.

Meanwhile, “other cats are bored and are trying to find outlets for pent-up energy,” Dr. Durvasula adds. The majority of cats still have quite strong instincts because they are both predator and prey animals.

When you have a cat, life is never boring. They definitely spend a lot of time sleeping and relaxing, but when they are awake, you never know when they'll do something adorable, amusing, weird, or even slightly evil.
