This Bengal Cat and Otter Become Unlikely Friends
Meet Pip, a zoo otter who got a second chance at life after a rough start.
Born into a litter of five, Pip was struggling to get enough milk, since otters only have four nipples for feeding their young. A caring zookeeper named Pia Cuijpers stepped in, fed Pip by hand, and eventually brought her home to help her grow and survive.
Then Sam, a Bengal cat, entered the picture, and the two quickly turned into an inseparable pair.
Now meet Sam.
Sam is a Bengal cat, something Pia had always wanted. When Sam moved in, the two animals had separate rooms to have their space, but soon they were playing together, grooming each other, and even spending their time sleeping and eating together. Not only that, but Sam has a massive amount of energy to play and explore, which is great for being the playmate of a demanding and intelligent animal like Pip.
These two together make the best of friends, spending lots of time together and sharing their adventures on both their Instagram page and YouTube channel (check out their links below!). But even so, they still have their differences!
Unlike Sam, however, Pip has learned to enjoy walking on a leash and going for strolls with Pia, and she has learned many commands, no matter how hard they may have been to teach.
It also reminds us of the mama cat who welcomed a mouse into her litter.
