This Guy Has A Clever Way To "Trick" People Into Sending Pictures Of Their Pets
Some internet stunts are harmless, and some are just clever enough to be annoying in the best way. This one falls squarely into the second category, because it starts with a bold claim, a cute cat, and a whole lot of people eager to prove their own pet can win the argument.
At the center of it is Donut Operator, who posted a tweet daring cat lovers to compare their animals to his. Instead of a fight, he got a flood of adorable replies from people determined to defend their cats' honor, and the whole thing turned into a surprisingly wholesome bait-and-switch.
It all ends with a reveal that makes the joke land even harder. Read on.
The "scam" begins with an incendiary Tweet: "My cat is cuter than yours. Fight me"
Followed by a picture of a VERY cute cat.
And, as OP, "Donut Operator," knew they would, cat lovers retaliated!
Cat people took the bait immediately.
All trying to show that their cat is cuter than OP's
