Cat-Crazed Woman Asks Neighbor About His Cat's Name by Sticking a Sign to Her Window, and It's the Most Wholesome Thing on the Internet
Some neighbors wave from the hallway, and some turn a simple cat question into the sweetest little exchange online. In this case, one cat-loving woman decided she needed to know the name of a white cat she kept seeing, so she did something wonderfully low-tech and stuck a sign on her window.
Twitter user Lizzie Bartelt wrote, “What’s the white cat’s name?” and waited for her neighbor to notice. He did, and what followed was a tiny back-and-forth that turned into a wholesome internet favorite, complete with a cat named David Bowie and a lot of people melting over the whole thing.
It only got better from there, because the neighbors did not stop at one cat name.
Her neighbor, Chris, who is the owner of the white cat, eventually managed to see the sign and replied to her question.

It definitely paid off!

Here's what it looks like from the other side:

It reads, "HI! WHAT IS THE WHITE CAT'S NAME?"

After a few hours, she got a reply! The name is David Bowie.

Chris shared the story on Twitter, and it managed to amass more than 636k likes.
Chris is the white cat's owner.

Lizzie and Chris eventually found each other online!

I can't agree more.

That is exactly the kind of neighborly moment the internet loves.
Chris even gave us an exclusive sneak peek from his side of the window.

He's admiring himself.

Such a beauty! 😍

Liz even managed to get another cat's name, the one right below David Bowie.

Ice Ice Baby.

They should all meet.

People were clearly invested in the whole cat lineup.
People immediately fell in love with this wholesome interaction:

A window sign, a cat named David Bowie, and a very happy internet, that is hard to beat.
