Cat vs. Bird - This Cat Got More Than He Bargained For When He Got Into A Fight With A Nasty Magpie
Magnus the Orange picked the wrong branch on the wrong day, and a magpie was ready to make sure he remembered it. The backyard standoff is short, loud, and a little embarrassing for the cat.
What starts as a casual tree climb turns into a feud with a bird that clearly does not back down. Magnus's dad caught the whole thing on TikTok, including the part where the orange tabby looks far less confident than usual.
One angry magpie, one stubborn cat, and a backyard grudge that apparently is not over yet. Read on.
This is Magnus. He got himself in quite a predicament. He really shouldn't have annoyed this magpie.

Magnus the Orange is a brave cat who enjoys high-altitude exploration. But one day, while lazily chilling in a tree, he was attacked by a magpie!
That's not surprising, given how defensive and swoopy magpies can be. We can't blame them; the birds are simply protecting their young.
Magnus, on the other hand, takes offense, as evidenced by the look on his face in the video while the magpie is screeching at him.
Magnus claims he was only doing some benign branch walking, but it appears the orange tabby isn't the innocent tree climber he claims to be. In a reply, Magnus's father explained the tale of the cat and the bird.
"Magnus went after their babies once, and they have never forgotten about it."
That explains why the magpie came in so hot.
Magpies can be very defensive and swoopy - especially when protecting their young.

Magpies have bold personalities and are intelligent birds. They're also famous for their vocalizations and songs.
Magpies chatter, whistle, trill, and warble, unlike many other birds that have a song or a few cries. These birds have been observed to imitate sounds in the environment, such as wind chimes or dogs barking.
Also wild, see how a mother demanded “MY BABY WILL DIE” and tried to claim a woman’s cat.

That certainly changes the game! Magnus's father shared another video showing the feathered and furred duo back at it, eager to continue the battle, proving that Magnus isn't so innocent.

There are a few things you can do to help ward off any bad luck that may come your way as a result of seeing a lone magpie: The magpie deserves a salute. "Good morning, general," or "Good morning, captain," for example.
That might explain this cat's misfortune; it was just one bird...
Magnus may want to avoid that branch for a while.
