Couple Heading to NY Accidentally Packs Cat in Their Luggage, Leading to a Stop by Airport Security
A trip to New York was supposed to be a simple birthday getaway for one Isle of Man couple, until their cat decided to make the journey part of the plan.
Nick and Voirrey Coole packed their bags and headed to the airport, but airport security soon found something unexpected in their hand luggage: Candy, their cat, who had quietly climbed inside before takeoff.
What followed was a very unusual airport stop, and somehow the couple still made it onto their flight.
Here's the moment when airport security found Candy

Nick told the media: “Our hand luggage didn’t have much in it, so we could bring shopping home. But Candy, our cat, found a way in, and off to the airport we all went. Airport security was very puzzled and repeatedly asked if the bag was ours after it had been through the scanner.”

He also wrote on Facebook:
“You know that feeling when you get ushered into a side room at airport security because you’ve got a cat in your hand luggage? Candy decided to sneak into our handbag. Thanks to Barry and Lorna for picking her up so we can head off on our holiday. Fair play to airport security for helping to get her home so we could catch our flight.”
That turned a normal check-in into a story they probably will not forget anytime soon.
Thankfully, Nick and Voirrey were still able to make their flight, and Candy's collection was also arranged.

Moral of the story: Never tell your cat about your travel plans, especially if you're planning to leave them behind, because they will do everything in their power to go there with you.
