Dog Leotards Are The Newest Doggo Fashion Trend
Dog lovers know the struggle, because fur has a way of ending up everywhere. That is exactly the problem this story tries to solve, with a very unusual answer: a dog leotard designed to keep shedding under control.
At the center of it all are Tyson Walters and his St. Bernard, Harley, whose nonstop shedding inspired the Shed Defender. The idea is part pet gear, part fashion statement, and it has a lot of people doing a double take.
What started as a practical fix for one very hairy dog turned into a product that is equal parts useful and adorable. Read on.

Shed Defender's CEO and founder, Tyson Walters, explains the idea: “I came up with the idea for the Shed Defender back in 2011 because my St. Bernard, Harley, was shedding everywhere, and there was no way to contain it. My goal was to develop a onesie that would go on the dog so that I could contain Harley’s hair effectively and safely…”
That is where the whole thing starts to make sense.
The leotard not only prevents shedding in the first place, but it also contains the hair so you can remove it in a more appropriate place than everywhere in your house and life.
It can help anxious doggos with their attachment issues.
And if you want the lighter side of dog fashion, these goofy dogs in ridiculous poses will absolutely crack you up.
And there is a size to fit all of our four-legged friends.
Whether you've got a big woofer or a little puppo, Shed Defenders are suitable for all shapes and sizes.
Regardless of their functionality and usefulness, they're just so darn cute!
