Couple Who Found A Baby Watermelon Were Shocked When They Realized It Was An Arachnid
Some spiders look so unusual that they barely seem real, and this one was no exception. What Bjørn-Gunnar Lunde and his wife spotted on a hike looked more like a tiny piece of fruit than a living creature.
The couple was out enjoying nature when Lunde noticed something odd on his wife's shoe. At first glance, it seemed like a small watermelon or even a deformed cucumber, but a closer look revealed a spider with a very unusual shape.
That strange discovery turned an ordinary walk into a moment they would not forget.
The couple confirmed that it was indeed a spider when it started creating a web. Lunde gently placed it on the ground to take a photo.
Indeed, these spiders resemble small fruits or vegetables rather than animals. This is precisely why they are named cucumber spiders.

These strange yet cute creatures are found in parts of Central Asia, Europe, and North America.
It’s a similar “frozen in time” shock to scientists unearthing a 99-million-year-old creature from amber.
Lunde mentioned that he has seen such spiders before, but not that often.
The hike took a very unexpected turn.
