Dave TV Publishes Animal "Guides" That Are Actually Hilarious Satirical Animal Facts
The animal kingdom is huge, and most of us will never know every strange detail about it. That is exactly why Dave TV's satirical online campaign, "What the bloody hell is a ?", landed so well, it takes familiar creatures and turns them into gloriously ridiculous fake fact sheets.
The joke is that the descriptions are so wildly wrong they become the whole point. Instead of dry wildlife trivia, Dave leans into absurdity, and the result is a set of animal "guides" that are impossible not to laugh at.
Here are some of the funniest examples.
Started in 1998, Dave TV uses its social media to produce utter nonsense, similar to their animal guides. "It's always good to learn new things about the natural world, even if the facts aren't always 100% true," a Dave spokesperson stated.
Typically, the channel's social media group comes up with suggestions for such campaigns. "We use our Facebook page, Instagram, and Twitter to promote our TV shows, but we also like to create content that makes our followers laugh as they check their newsfeeds!" the spokesperson said.

There is actually no system behind how the channel communicates with its viewers online, as they usually just go with the flow. "We just see how we are feeling that day, to be honest! It could be something in the news or just something that springs to mind; there is no rhyme or reason to it!"
