Woman Adopts Stray Deformed Doggo With Two Mouths
Toad is the kind of dog people notice right away, mostly because her face tells a story all its own. The 6-year-old pup was born with two mouths, one where her ear should be and another in the usual spot.
She cannot chew with the extra mouth because it has no jaw, but it still salivates when she eats, which makes her look even more unusual. After ending up in a shelter, Toad met the woman who would become her forever mom, and the connection was instant.
It only got sweeter from there.
Toad the Doggo

Toad's new owner described their first meeting:
"A shelter officer muzzled her and carried her to the vet clinic, and while she was there being examined, it sounds goofy, but literally, we made eye contact, and she immediately relaxed."
"That day, I took her into my office to evaluate her, and she immediately crawled into my lap. This big, scary, insane-looking dog just climbed into my lap and rested her head on my shoulder. I adopted her, and we have been inseparable ever since."
That's a love story if ever I've heard one.
That first meeting clearly changed everything.
Good Girl

"She is the reason we started Mutt Misfits, our rescue organization dedicated to helping special needs, sick, injured, and deformed pets at risk for euthanasia."
She said.
"We were founded by employees of the shelter in May 2017 after witnessing what happens to the 'misfit' dogs that are brought in, and we have saved about 200 dogs."

"She’s a sweet and absolutely perfect girl who is extremely loved."
