Incredibly Thoughtful Disabled Man Climbs Out Of His Wheelchair And Saves A Kitten From Drowning
Sometimes the smallest rescue stories leave the biggest impression. In Malaysia, a disabled man named Abu turned a routine trip to the gym into something unforgettable when he spotted a kitten trapped in a drain and in immediate danger.
Abu, who is 36 and from Sabah, was on his way to the Kota Kinabalu Sports Complex with his girlfriend when they noticed the kitten struggling below the drain’s steep edge. With time running out, he got out of his wheelchair and moved in to help, even though the ground was uneven and the situation was risky.
What happened next is the kind of moment people do not forget easily. Read on.

He is now at the edge of the drain's banks. The man tries his luck at reaching the poor kitten.
The man was unable to grab the little kitty on his first attempt. However, he never gave up. He changed his body's position after the first failed attempt.
Then the man tried again to get hold of the little kitty.

Finally, luck was on his side! He grabbed the little kitten and brought it to safety on the grass.
This man did not view his lack of legs as a hindrance. He was incredibly selfless and kind!
It never crossed his mind that his limitation would lead to failure in rescuing the poor little kitty. His courage is truly remarkable.
Despite having rescued the little kitten, Abu does not even consider himself a hero. How humble of this man, who showed such kindness to the poor creature.
He simply stated that he hopes the little kitten has now learned its lesson not to go near edges or difficult spots that could endanger its life again.

That rescue was over in moments, but the impact stuck with everyone who saw it.
This reminds me of the man who tenderly hand-fed an orphaned kitten on the subway.

We saw the kitten stuck there and knew we could not leave it. I decided to get the kitten myself because it would be more dangerous for my friend, who uses prosthetic legs.
The banks of the drain were steep, and the ground was uneven, making it difficult to navigate. But I’m glad we could help the cat. - Abu Fathiyyaturahma Menk Abdun Mujtahid
