An Adorable Dog Turns His Dock-Diving Hobby Into An Illustrious Career
Chewbaka never set out to become a decorated dock-diving dog, he just loved the water and happened to be very good at it. The four-year-old English bulldog has turned a backyard hobby into a competition career, and his mid-jump photos are half the fun.
During the pandemic, his mother, Michelle Kinder, looked for a way to keep him busy and started with a basic agility set from Amazon. That led to backyard practice, lake swims, and eventually dock-diving lessons, where Chewy quickly showed he was ready for more.
Now he spins, barks, and launches himself toward the water like it is the best part of his day. Read on.

Chewy has already earned his Dock Junior title and is currently working on his Dock Junior Advanced title.
He usually competes in the senior open division. Here's a video of Chewy jumping off a dock:

Kinder treats Chewy to something he enjoys after each competition, win or lose. She recognizes his accomplishments by providing him with a special treat, such as new toys or a new chew bone.
Chewy’s dock-diving success also reminds us of the puppy that rescued its owner by chewing his toe in sleep.
Recognizing Chewy’s talent, she immediately signed him up for swim lessons

Kinder attributes Chewy's growth to his love of the sport, and he has brought so much joy to her family. He has shown Kinder how much fun it is to work together as a team, and participating in dog sports has enabled her to meet many incredible people she would not have otherwise encountered.

“We will celebrate his accomplishments by getting him a special treat"

Chewy's younger brother, Little Chick, is now joining in on the fun, thanks to the legacy Chewy has established. Chewy, the active bulldog, is currently recovering from surgery for an injury he sustained, but he will return to competition soon.

Countless times, our furry friends have shown us that they are capable of living extraordinary lives. They can learn new skills and sports, and when it comes to competing, they engage in it wholeheartedly, making their owners proud in the process.
